Tonight as I tucked my 3 year old daughter into bed she whispered something so softly. I asked her what she said and she whispered again, "my grandma is coming soon". We had been reading a fairytale and we'd been busy all day-nothing really related to being with her extending family. She just went to bed knowing and believing that someone she loves very much will see her soon.
I wonder what our mornings would be like if we went to bed each night whispering that Jesus is coming soon, to redeem us and all of creation? We don't talk about that much anymore but it's a comforting thought to know that the world will be renewed and so will we.
Many of us owe much wisdom to the whisperings of our children...and I am one of those lucky parents.
Youth ministry is about relationships. Things like relationship cards (a.k.a. business cards) say a lot about who we are and what we represent. So having a great card is a nice extra...icing on the youth ministry cake. Our friends at cedesignco went to work and came up with something great (no surprise here!) and now I've got a little icing to brighten my day. Thanks CE.
